I think talking about serious things in a relationship are important, but for my life, it’s the small things. My husband and I talk about everything- big and small and all little details about our daily lives when we are apart. We are best friends and we don’t hold anything back! I really think it’s great to be on that level, where you have inside jokes and understandings!
Talk about the hopes and dreams each other has for themselves, their family and them as a couple.
I think a great date night topic is what you want to accomplish/do together over the next few years, as well as talk about what your favorite moments have been together over the past year!

If you won the lottery right now, where would you like to go on a vacation?
We like to use date nights to chat about and plan upcoming vacations, as well as talking about our favorite memories and funny things that happened throughout the day.
I good date night topic would be asking and listening to what the other person is saying be interested and first date etc don’t get into anything to heavy.
Goals/dreams for the next/five/ten years.
I think that it is important for couples to stay on the same page as far as what their goals are for their future.
My husband and I usually talk about plans for the future (as a family and individually). We also talk about things that we like about each other. It is always good to remind your partner that they are loved and appreciated.

A good conversation could be anything as long as it doesn’t deal with work!
Some of my favorite conversations with my husband include things we’re currently reading, following or learning. When we can share what we enjoy with each other, it makes it feel like we matter and our opinions matter.
i love to get swept up in a conversation about a common interest, maybe a tv show or movie we both enjoy or a hobby we share.
Dreams!! It so important to talk about your dreams!
Ours goals for the future.
We talk about our plans and dreams for the future or thing we would like to do.
On our date nights, my husband and I try very hard to focus on one another and our interests as opposed to constantly talking about our children (difficult to do…I admit). We often find ourselves sharing our dreams for the future (traveling the country by R.V.) and discussing our goals for our summer vacation which is something we plan and save for all year. Ultimately, we enjoy talking about anything that makes us laugh and reminds us why we fell in love in the first place….we simply love spending time together!
I’m off to pick a random number for a winner to be announced tomorrow. Comments made after this will not be included in the giveaway (sorry, I’m having technical difficulties and I can’t stop commenting for this post).
On date nights, we talk about our days. However, we usually just talk about silly things. Things that get our minds off of the difficult part of life for a while. We try to have a good time and make the conversation not too heavy and just have fun, there’s enough difficult things to talk about on a normal day to day basis.
I think a good date night topic would be good memories of the past. Don’t talk about stressful things. Don’t talk about the kids. Don’t talk about work. Talk about the fun times that got you to where you are.
We love to talk about our hopes and dreams for our one and only child, Dee Dee! Also, on date nights, we like to talk about what we’re currently doing and hope to accomplish in the next couple years. I have 30% lung capacity so I am a bit limited on what I can do and how much I can walk, and I know I might not be around in the future for my daughter and husband, but I have talked to the Lord and He knows how I wish to be here until my daughter graduates high school. His will will be accomplished in our lives! So, we try to live it up while being cautious about spending and not saving! A difficult balance, but must and can be done!
Some great topics for Valentine’s Day are remembering milestones in your relationship and making travel plans for the year.
Anything about his work really seem to do the trick. I do try to not talk too much about the children or what we need to get done over the next week until after the “Date Night” is over.
Talk about your goals in life. And remember to keep asking questions, you never really want to stop learning about someone.
