My husband and I are a part of a number of small groups that meet weekly. In a few of them we are talking about how we can reach out to our community, especially as the holidays approach and there are significant needs.

I encourage y’all to talk to your husband about those around you. Is there someone in need that you can reach out to at holiday time? Perhaps there are opportunities for volunteering. So, volunteer together. Dish up a meal in a street outreach, gather and wrap gifts for the Blue or Brown Santa (or similar organization), or make some deliveries or calls for your favorite charity organization.
