If your guy’s love language is Words of Affirmation (and, really, even if it’s not), be sure to write him a Christmas love letter for his stocking or pillow. He needs to hear that he is loved and that you want and need him. 

Christmas is still a few days out. Write a rough draft and then spend the rest of the time crafting it to say just what you want it to say.
