I did a quick search of events happening in my town (and I live in a small town). I found Settler’s Day, a Vintage Aircraft Fly-In, a Friends of the Library book sale and free concerts in the park. 

Some of these activities could be “date night” material. They’re local and they are free/cheap.

Look through the “about town” section in your local newspaper or check your city’s website for activities near you. Invite your husband out for a little fun.
