Now and then I remind y’all to get away with your spouse. A day here and there is good, but if you can get away for an extended time, even better. Rest. Connect. Dream. Play. Romance each other. Enjoy the time away, just the two of you. It’s an amazing time of rejuvenation for your marriage.
That said, Paul and I are getting away for awhile. :) We’ll be gone for a week and half. Some very sweet folks have gifted up with a cruise.

Because of that, blogging is going to be a bit difficult. I may or may not have good quality Internet (and some days we may have none), so I have a collection of posts from the archives set to run in my absence (I’m calling them Getaway Goodies). Resource links may or may not be included. Please be aware, if you are a first time commenter, it may take awhile for me to get to pending comments and any email (I will try to check in daily).
Please pray for me and my sweetie. We could use the time to rest and play. In a few short weeks we will begin traveling again and it will be nice to have this time off before we head out.
If taking an extended time off with your husband isn’t possible right now, take a smaller getaway and begin to plan for longer getaways. Start putting away a little each month or grab a jar and start tossing in coins. It’s a great investment for your marriage.
There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither. Alan Cohen
