A View Into My World (aka Blog Fodder)

Two bits of information …

Congratulations, Michelle Areyzaga! You were the 41st poster in the Awaken Love giveaway and have won the giveaway copy of Ruth Buezis’ new book Awaken Love. (I will email you shortly.) The book is available to the public starting today!

… and …

Last Friday I mentioned the Ultimate Healthy Meal flash sale for today and tomorrow. My bad. It’s actually next Monday and Tuesday (September 24th and 25th). Just consider this a little extra notice.

I thought I’d give y’all a window into my world. Some folks ask me where I get my post ideas. Well, pretty much everything is blog fodder.

For example, in looking at my bits of info at the top of this post …

Awaken Love
I could talk about the importance of having a biblically-sound sexual theology. Or I could talk about the amazing resources available to us as Christian married women (including Awaken Love’s video teaching series and now her new book Awaken Love). Or I could talk about challenging ourselves to grow sexually (something I’m trying to do with my “more days than not” goal).

… and …

The Ultimate Meal flash sale (September 24th and 25th) (sale over)

Mealtime is a great time to connect with your husband. Eating together causes a release of oxytocin which creates a sense of well-being and connection. It’s also a great time to build your friendship by talking about your day, your dreams, and your struggles. I could write about creating a meal binder, doing meal planning, or incorporating freezer meals as a way of making mealtime easier. Or I could remind y’all to keep your kitchen table relatively clear and make your table look nice at dinner time. You could ask a daily question over dinner or share the good in your day.

If you’re struggling to find a way to bless your man today, just look around and pick something as a starting point.

♥ An empty glass on the counter? Why not pick up your sweetie’s favorite kind of drink next time you do your grocery shopping?
♥ Socks on the floor? Pick them up and pray for where he walks today and all the difficulties he might face.
♥ A mess on the steps in the garage? Take a few minutes to straighten up and make his homecoming a little less stressful.

It’s all blog fodder. It’s all marriage-building fodder.

Good ideas start with coffee.  Author Unknown (but surely a very creative individual)

♥ Prayer Prompt: Ask God to help you see ideas for blessing your man as you walk through your day.

♥ Her View From Home: How to Put Your Children to Bed in 46 Easy Steps This is not really a marriage post, but I laughed so hard I had to share it with y’all.

♥ Heaven Made Marriage: Changing Seasons Make regular time to talk with your spouse about any changes you are facing as a couple.
