Stop. Pause. Breathe. How’s your stress level?
If you’re like me, you’re feeling a bit (maybe a lot) busy and tense. There’s much to do and, well, you’ve got to get it all done or at least most of it.
I spent last year learning and praying about stress. I have too much of it and it’s not good for my health, my relationships, or my general sanity.

I don’t know that I have all the answers yet, but I have been cutting back to a sane level of activity (most of the time), taking care of my health, doing things that I enjoy (self-care), working to keep my relationships healthy, and talking to God about those things that worry, hurt, or scare me.
I really want to enjoy my life and do meaningful work. I want folks (especially the hubby man) to enjoy being around me. That means I need to be smart about how I engage with our culture and make wise choices about how I spend my time. I also need to guard my thought life.
May I encourage y’all to look for ways to reduce the stress in your life? Even one little baby step will help. You’ll be happier and so will your husband.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV

I just wanted to share with wives reading your blog that I lost my husband on February 11th and I wanted to impress on each of you to love your man well. I know that he is free now and not suffering and I will see him again. Please, do the little things that will grow your marriage, spend time listening to him, record his voice, take lots of pictures!
Carol, I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for your shared wisdom. May you find peace and comfort during this season of loss.
