It’s the first Sunday of the month and time for a cyber prayer meeting.
Recently a speaker at my church mentioned being the victim of a praying wife and mom. We all laughed, but I think the laughter came so easily because we all knew the element of truth in his statement.
God has heard the faithful prayers of wives, moms, and grandmothers throughout history and responded with power on behalf of those they pray for.
What a beautiful legacy. Let’s be faithful to pray for our husbands and marriages.

Father, thank you that You hear our prayers. We lift up our marriages to You today and ask You to make them a testimony of Your ability to heal and grow us up. Please teach us to be gracious, caring spouses. Let our growing marriages be a light in this broken world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you have any personal prayer requests, feel free to leave them as a comment to this post (this is a public forum, so please be discreet and kind).
She (my mother) became a warrior far superior to any epic hero. She became a giant on her knees. With a sword in one hand she battled the enemies of death and disease, and with her other hand stretched toward heaven she kept beseeching God’s help and His mercy. T.D. Jakes

I recently read Psalms 86:15-16. It’s a beautiful description of God. And I was impressed with the last phrase. I was blessed to have both my mother and my mother-in-law praying for me and my family. I choose to carry forward that legacy.
Psalms 86:15-16
“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength in behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did.” Psalms 86:15-16 NIV
That is so cool! I had no idea that was in there. I need to read more psalms.
