My hubby and I are so different. Now that’s not a bad thing, it’s just something we need to be aware of and make room for graciously.
I had to pull some baby bunnies in the house as a part of the weaning process (we still have cold weather here in Washington state and they had to go somewhere). He helped me set up some bins and he did it differently than I would have. He was helping so I said thank you and, you know, it worked just fine.

Now, honestly, I like doing things my way. It’s comfortable and it works for me. There are times when circumstances call for something specific, but really most of the time there are plenty of options that will work. It’s far more about preferences.
Lately, for many of us, we’ve had a good deal more time with our husband and that can mean a bit more friction in how we do life. I encourage y’all to talk with your spouse and just acknowledge that you’ll have different preferences and that patience and a bit of flexibility can help smooth out any rough spots.
If one of you has more involvement in a situation, perhaps lean to their preference, but in general be willing to try a couple of different options and hold lightly to personal preferences.
In the back and forth of discussing options you may stumble onto something new and fun. You’ll certainly learn more about each other.
A great marriage is not when the ‘perfect couple’ comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences. Dave Meurer
