It’s a Good Time to Dream

This whole stay-at-home thing has been interesting. It comes with its challenges, but it also comes with its blessings. One of them for me has been more time to think and dream. While I still have things to do, my time is more flexible and there is more of it at home (no driving around, no meetings, etc.).

I finish my workday and I have time on my hands. I’ve been dreaming a bit about things I’d like to do. This probably wouldn’t have happened otherwise because my days were still a bit too full (margin was a work in progress).

I encourage y’all to use your “extra” time to dream about what could be (and to pray for those who have less time because their work is “essential” and they are more busy than usual).

If possible talk to your sweetie about your dreams and ask him about his. Pray over your dreams and see if any are in the “let’s do it now” stage. Use your extra time to baby step your way to making a couple of dreams come true. The process makes for great couple-time and you never know what adventures you will share.

  1. I do not long for what might be,
    because it will not happen;
    there’s too much of my energy
    that cancer has been sapping,
    and now just getting through the day
    is more than I can do;
    there is no room for hope or play,
    and dreaming-time is through,
    but still and all I am content
    with projects I will never finish,
    because the things they represent
    cannot be diminished
    if their natal avocation
    was to God a dedication.
