In This Season

Today is the first Sunday of the month and time to join together for prayer.

It’s been a pretty difficult season adding stresses and strains to our marriages. Some of us are spending way more time around our husbands and others are having less. There are financial strains, fears for the future, and more.

Let’s take a moment, stand together, and ask God for His wisdom and help.

Father, thank you for being there and for hearing our concerns. Please help us with our fears. Help us see Your hand at work in our lives. We need your wisdom to face all the new situations and your help to trust in Your goodness. In all our relationships, especially our marriages, please help us to be patient and thoughtful. Help us be a light and an encouragement. Thank you for your goodness toward us, for being in the details, and for Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you have any personal prayer requests, feel free to leave them as a comment to this post (this is a public forum, so please be discreet and kind).

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV

My husband went from working 60-100 hours a week as a GM at a big sports/events arena to working at home and now he is unemployed. It was a crazy turn of events we never saw coming. I will be going to work next week for the first time in 6.5 years to give him time to decide what to do.
The arena business was the very first to close and will be there last to open. I have been remembering you’re words of wisdom lately, Lori, especially about not having such high expectations for him. While we are enjoying our time together, we have never spent this much time together in our entire lives. Please pray for us as this is an incredibly stressful time for our family and we aren’t sure which way to go.

    • Lord, we ask for your peace and your wisdom. Peace in this time of unknowns and wisdom for decisions for the future. Father, thank You for Your provision and for this new turn of events. I ask that the final outcome would be an even better fit for her husband and their family. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
