I have a personal goal I’m working on (a semi-homesteadish lifestyle kind of thing). I’m studying, talking to folks, and generally making plans. As I walk through the plans, I can see the direction I’m going (a trajectory, if you will).

So far, I’m heading in a good direction and I think I’ll hit many of my mini-goals. I’ve had a few wobbles and had to adjust my path, but keeping an eye on all the variables I think I will get where I want to be.
Do you and your husband have a sense of where you want to be in your marriage? Do you have marriage goals? If you keep doing what you are doing today, will you get there? Is the trajectory of your marriage relationship going the direction you want to go?
Be patient. Do the best with what you know. When you know more, adjust the trajectory. Jen Hatmaker

Everything is failing,
and it’s hard not to frown;
the constant is derailing
and I am going down.
I fought this thing for so damn long,
and sometimes played the clown,
but the band must play it final song
for I am going down.
Why did He not heal me,
that God of such renown,
to whom I pledged all fealty
whilst I was going down?
But I have company, heading down;
the Son who wears a throny crown.

Just what I needed to read! I’m not where I want to be on something specific, but I took a step today in the right direction. Reminding myself that there’s a trajectory here gives me renewed motivation.
Nice. Glad the concept was an encouragement to you. :)
