Today is the first Sunday of the month and time to join together for prayer.
In his book Get Your Life Back, John Eldredge talks about benevolent detachment. He’s not talking about walking away in cynicism or resignation. He’s talking about genuinely caring about someone or something, knowing that you can’t do anything about it, and handing that care off to Jesus.

In this season, life for so many is complicated and maybe even a bit … brutal?
I think I will just talk to God about all I see and hear. I’ll tell Him what I’m feeling, what I’m afraid of, and what I hope for. I’m also going to lean in and set all my cares in His hands and trust Him for the outcome.
Will you join me in that?
If you have any personal prayer requests, feel free to leave them as a comment to this post (this is a public forum, so please be discreet and kind).
Jesus invites us into a way of living where we are genuinely comfortable turning things over to him. John Eldredge

Gosh, you took the words from my heart <3…. I haven't even been able to place them into actual words… Thank you.
You’re welcome. :) Thanks for joining with me in prayer.
Prayers for my husband who has lost his job after 34 years
Lord, this loss is not a surprise to you and You have a plan for this family. We ask that you take this loss, this seemingly bad thing, and work it for good. We ask for an amazingly good job that will be blessing to him and provide for their needs. Thank you, God.
Please pray for my nephew, he is in the “System” right now, and as a Latino family, we very much feel that the judge is not being just. He has done EVERY. SINGLE. THING. asked of him for the past two years, and the judge is still treating him as she did on Day 1. Everyone (head of probation, psychologist, case manager…) is very happy with his progress/rehabilitation. But the Judge still talks to him/about him like a juvenile delinquent from the wrong side of town.
Please pray for the Judge’s eyes to be opened.
Thank you.🙏🏽
Hi:
I had a very mentalt disturbed mother and could never help her, this now feels same after 27 years marriage abd two nice boys, my wife is not aporoachable to intimacy and even though sex is important the worst unusual for me as a believer that i have solo sex and get terrible guilty feelings as though a great sin even though my wife has always had pain in sex after both children were Ceserian born.
I want you to pray that God would understand if my dear wife has had this problem He would understand yet i try to tell Him
Bless

Mr, I personally don’t think masturbation is a sin. God is very clear about what is sexual sin and it’s not on the list. That said married folks are supposed to take care of each others’ sexual needs if they are able. Given that your wife cannot have sex without pain (have her see a doctor), I would encourage you to take care of yourself. If your wife is willing, she could be a part of sex in non-intercourse ways.
