The other evening my sweetie messed up on dinner (it was Grandpa and Grandma night with the two grandkids). He fussed about it and generally felt frustrated (it should have worked). A new approach and he was back on track, still muttering.
At that point (when I knew he might hear me), I tried to encourage him and help turn the experience around. He was serving others (thank you), we all make mistakes (really, we all do), and it’s fixable (he did).

We could all use a little positive encouragement when life gets messy. Look for opportunities to frame what is going on in a more positive way. No, don’t lie about the situation, acknowledge what’s gone wrong, but take the time to help others look at the situation from a broader, more positive perspective.
What gets your hubby down? What would help him see the situation in a different light?
Perspective is everything when you are experiencing the challenges of life. Joni Eareckson Tada
