One of my friends really, really wanted to go huckleberry picking and most everyone she knew was busy.

When she asked me to go with her, it took all of two seconds to think about my day and say yes! (I mean come on we’re talking about huckleberries!)

The thing is, a few years back I would have had to say no as well because I had too much on my plate. I’m not saying my life is perfect with amazing margin and I can yes to anything anytime. I am saying I’m doing better and it was nice to have the flexibility to say yes to a friend (and get huckleberries!).

Building margin in your life gives you the ability to say yes to opportunities. Whether that’s a spur of the moment walk with your sweetie or running off to pick huckleberries with a friend.
