I had a major meltdown the other day. So not proud of it. I handled a stressful situation badly. Really badly.

Paul was quite understanding and offered grace.
You’d think I would have been relieved. Actually it stung. I was bent at the situation and I was really bent at myself for handling everything so badly.
When I eventually settled down, I was grateful for his calm, his patience, and his willingness to overlook one very bad moment in the history of our marriage.
I am in the process of sorting out why I was such a mess. I so do not want a repeat. That said, (later) it was very nice to be treated so kindly and respectfully in one of my not finer moments.
As a suggestion, maybe we could all think through how we will act when our husbands have one of their not finer moments. Can we offer them grace, topped off with kindness, and a bit of respect? (Certainly, in a calmer moment, you may want to process what happened and decide how to deal with it differently in the future.)
Nothing but grace makes a (wo)man so humble and, at the same time, so glad. Charles Spurgeon (parenthesis mine)
