Intentional Clean Up

I have a mess in my bedroom closet.

I tend to push things back there when I don’t have (make?) the time to deal with them. It’s pretty overwhelming now and really the only way I’m going to fix it is to be intentional about it. I’ll have to make time for it.

I’ve decided that I’m going to clean it out a little at a time because it is so overwhelming and my days are still a bit full. Each weekend I’m going to open the door a crack and pull out three things. They don’t go back in until I have considered if I want to keep them (are they truly useful, will I really use them, is there a better place for them).

I’m sure some of the clean up I do will spawn other projects, so I’m not putting a deadline on this. I’ll work on it on weekends and baby step my way through it.

Are there areas of your life and marriage that are a bit overwhelming? Can you break them down and work on them a little at a time? Don’t make a hard deadline, but do be intentional about facing and dealing thoroughly with each bit.

Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs. Henry Ford
