Where Do You Do Your Best Talking?

Think back to the best talks you’ve had with your husband.

Where were you? What were you doing?

Some folks converse well over coffee or a good meal. Some do better when they’re out for a walk side-by-side. On a drive? Working together on a project? Snuggled up in bed?

Look for opportunities to create the circumstance for great conversation.

You can’t force a good conversation, but giving yourself the best framework for conversation is just smart.

Ultimately the bond of all companionship, whether in marriage or in friendship, is conversation. Oscar Wilde

Definitely drive time—especially long drives. Even when the kids were younger, as long as no one was screaming, it was good!
