I spent the morning clearing out part of the garden. We let the weeding go over the past few months and it was time to tackle the jungle of weeds and sprawled garden plants.
There is one particular weed I dread dealing with. It has a huge taproot and a monster top full of seeds. I have to carefully cut off the top and dispose of it and then I have to wrestle the rest of it out of the ground.
While I was wrestling with a particularly recalcitrant root, I couldn’t help but fuss at myself for letting it go so long. If I had been good about weeding, I could have plucked it out when it was small and avoided the wrestling match and the potential for seeds.

Marriage application (you knew I was going there) – If you deal with marriage problems when they are small they are so much easier to deal with. A couple of discussions, a bit of trial and error, and you’re done. If you let it go, you are in for some real wrestling matches with the possibility of seeds making more marriage weeds to deal with.
I’m so going to be better about weeding next year.
Marriage is just the garden gate. Along the path, there will be weeds and flowers. Pull the weeds. Cherish the flowers. Author Unknown
