Women typically have more words. We’re verbally gifted. Our brains are wired for relationships and many, many words.
That’s really a lovely gift, but like most things, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing or at least an overwhelming thing.
Guys’ brains are a bit different and are wired for other strengths. As a result, they can get overwhelmed by our many words making it difficult to process the information.

As a kindness, be aware of how much you are talking and make sure you are not flooding your husband with too many details all at once. Sometimes it helps to start with a bottom line sentence and then add in the rest of the information. That at least gives hubby a starting point.
You may also want to talk shorter. Break up what you say (you don’t have to say it all at once). Give your husband time to respond or ask a question. For that matter, you might want to ask a question or two to give him an opening to add to the conversation.
Conversations are for two. Make room for your husband’s words as well. Pause. Breathe. Listen. Talk short (or at least a bit shorter). Ask a question.
