What Makes Him Feel Special?

Most days there is a knock at my front door followed by a small boy (my five-year-old grandson) slipping inside. His first stop is the fruit basket on my kitchen table. He knows there is always fruit there and he is free to take a piece.

I think his love language is “apples.” :) Actually, in a way it is. It speaks love to him that he is welcome in my home, I have the kind of fruit he likes, and he is free to munch.

I don’t think our guys outgrow their need for practical expressions of love. What does your husband like? What makes him feel special? Be sure to regularly stock up on his favorites.

In the end, love doesn’t just keep thinking about it or keep planning for it. Simply put: love does. Bob Goff
