Playtime Redux

Life is starting to be a bit more normal. Responsibilities are less trying. We’re back to having a day off each week. I even did a bit of deep cleaning around the inside of the house.

Well, behind the air conditioner (we have a standing unit), I found our deck of Five Crowns and score sheet. I hadn’t even noticed they were gone.

I cleaned them up a bit (they were covered in dust bunnies) and now I’m ready to play at our next coffee break. It’s so good to have those simple ways of connecting again.

What kinds of play have slipped away during 2020? What would it take to bring them back or start a few new forms of play?

If you are looking to add a game to your collection, check out this list. (Games make great gifts too!)

Those who play rarely become brittle in the face of stress or lose the healing capacity for humor. Stuart Brown
