Way Back Wednesday – Push / Pull

(Originally posted on December 19, 2017.)

When you interact with your husband are you pulling him toward you in intimacy or pushing him away with disinterest, disdain, or “attitude”?

Become a student of your actions and your husband’s reactions. Note those things that draw your husband in and do those things more often. Examine and avoid those things that push him away. (I’m not saying you should never have a hard conversation or deal with problems. I’m saying there are kinder, better ways of doing so.)

One response to “Way Back Wednesday – Push / Pull”

  1. Push me, pull you, husband, wife,
    push me, pull you own the years;
    does this lead to better life,
    or is it counsel of our fears?
    Push and pull, accept, reject,
    pull and push, love you and not,
    are the daisies quite correct
    when last petal you have got
    says that you have turned away,
    and that now your heart is cold
    on this bitter winter day
    when of a sudden, both are old
    and there’s no further chance to warm
    a marriage that has come to harm?
