❤ ❤ ❤ 17 days to Valentine’s Day! ❤ ❤ ❤
We’ve all probably heard about emotional bank accounts.
A difficult interaction with someone becomes a “withdrawal” emotionally. Perhaps you ask for your husband’s help at a very inconvenient time. Maybe he steals your chocolate (criminal, I tell you). You have a bad hair day and gripe at him.
Positive interactions become a “deposit.” You listen to his concerns. He gets you that book you mentioned. You bake his favorite cookies. (Can I come to your house?) :)
Here’s my thought. Deposit more than you withdraw from his bank account. Keep that balance high. See if you can “out generous” your man. Be intentional about it.

There are just going to be rough days or days when you miss an opportunity to bless your man. A small withdrawal is no big deal in the scope of many deposits. It helps your man see that you are good-hearted but human. That you love him well even though you are not perfect.
If I make deposits into an Emotional Bank Account with you through courtesy, kindness, honesty, and keeping my commitments to you, I build up a reserve. Stephen Covey
