❤ ❤ ❤ 12 days to Valentine’s Day! ❤ ❤ ❤
I had a terribly bad day.
One of my rabbit does had a litter and then didn’t nurse them. They all died. I was … devasted (I don’t think that’s too dramatic a word to use). It hurt. I get attached to those little boogers pretty quickly.
My sweetie found them first and took care of them. He broke the news with a hug and supportive words. He let me be sad. Later he even baked chocolate chip cookies to cheer me up (chocolate always helps).

Paul was sympathetic and helpful at a speed I could handle. He was there for me on my terribly bad day. It was so comforting to have him in my corner.
Can we be there for our husbands when they have a terribly bad day? Can we be sympathetic and helpful (and bake chocolate chip cookies)? Let’s do that.

Lori, I’m so very, very sorry.
This is for you, with love.
Everything that’s ever born
will one day have to die;
can you see my heart is torn?
Will you help me cry?
Please know I cannot weep alone
for my heart can’t bear the sorrow,
please, my dear, put down the phone
and somehow let me borrow
the strength I saw at out first glance
the kindness worn upon your sleeve,
your willingness to speak a chance
for faith while I yet grieve,
to help me carry sadness’ boulder
upon your sympathetic shoulder.
I’m sorry your baby bunnies died. That would make me sad too.
Thanks for commiserating with me, y’all. I’m doing better. A part of raising rabbits is the reality that you will lose some. Yes, it’s sad, but then there are those days when you get to go out and play with the little ones that do make it (and most of them do).

So sorry about your kits. Thankfully God provided you with Paul and Paul with the words to say and actions to do. We can all learn something from this.
Very true. I learn something about comfort each time I experience a loss. It makes me wiser when I’m in a place to comfort others.
