❤ ❤ ❤ 2 days to Valentine’s Day! ❤ ❤ ❤
I have a favorite basket. It’s pretty and very functional. Well, it got used a lot over the years. Eventually, it got a bit worn and I couldn’t lift the basket by the handle (it would have busted).
I could have bought a new basket, but instead, I chose to fix my wobbly old basket. A bit of twine and little dabs of heavy-duty glue and it’s a lovely good-as-new basket that works well again.

My point in this is that we tend to throw away things that are broken or aren’t working quite right. It’s something of a cultural norm. And, honestly, sometimes it’s a wise choice to toss and buy new, but it’s not the only choice and often a better choice is to mend an existing item.
It goes for relationships too. It’s easy to walk away from someone when your relationship is broken or not working quite right. Sometimes it’s a wise choice to walk away, but it’s not the only choice and often a better choice is to take the time and effort to mend the relationship.
Where marriage is concerned, you’ve vowed to honor your spouse and marriage for life. If it’s at all possible,* do keep your word and take the time and effort to mend and build your marriage relationship. You’ll save yourself and a number of people a lot of grief and keep a relationship of value for life.
*(I do understand that not all marriages can be fixed. Just saying it’s seriously worth a try.)
Broken things can become blessed things if you let God do the mending. Author Unknown
