As you approach the weekend, ask yourself and your husband what important things need to be done or addressed (especially those things that affect your marriage)?

It’s easy to get sidetracked with everyday stuff or a squeaky wheel and leave the important things undone. Instead, be intentional about actually getting your budget roughed out or talk through how you will deal with his mother’s failing health. Maybe you just need some couple time because you’re feeling distant or your husband needs you to play sounding board for his new business idea.
Whatever it is, take care of the important stuff and let the other activities filter into the rest of your time. It’s so lovely to have addressed and taken care of that thing that is weighty in your marriage. A bit of stress relief and some feel-good teamwork.
Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important. Stephen R Covey
