I think I mentioned the last month had been pretty stressful for me. A part of that was a situation with extended family.
I spent more time praying than I usually do and God has been faithful to work in the situation. Bad things are being used for good, hearts are being changed, and I see His handiwork all through it.
It’s times like this I wonder why I don’t spend more time praying on a day-to-day basis. It bothers me that I spend more time talking to God when things are tough. I’m being defensive instead of offensive for the Kingdom of God.

Anyhow, the upshot of it is that I’m reading a couple of books on prayer and I’m trying to be more intentional about spending time talking to God. I’ve started journaling my prayers in my bullet journal and I’ve asked a friend if she will meet with me weekly for prayer.
All this rambling to say, today is the first Sunday of the month and time for a cyber prayer meeting. Let’s “team-up” and pray for each other’s marriages.
Lord God, thank you for loving us and caring about our marriages. Please help us to remember to pray often for our husbands, our homes, and our marriages. We ask for wisdom and understanding and the courage to walk in your ways. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you have any personal prayer requests, feel free to leave them as a comment to this post (this is a public forum, so be discreet and kind).
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about things you can do to make praying with your sweetie a lot easier. Here’s another idea.
Get a journal or notebook and write down what you pray about. Leave it out where you and your husband can both easily get to it. Later your husband can pick up the journal and pray for those things and then list additional people/situations as he prays. Share back and forth, agreeing in prayer.
I suppose you could even do something like this by email. You are in effect praying together over the same needs, just using some kind of written form to communicate. I think this would be especially nice if you are often separated from your husband by business travel, military service, etc.
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Matthew 18:19 NIV
