When I spend a lot of time at home, messiness gets on my nerves and makes it harder to do what I need to do. (Where is that piece of paper? Anyone seen the staplegun? Arghh!)
Many of us are spending far more time at home. Don’t let messiness wreck you. Pick a spot (or two) in your house where you spend a fair amount of time. Remove any items that belong elsewhere (put them back) and look for ways to simplify the area.

Do you really need fifty magazines on your coffee table? Set out the latest issue and store the others for later (or put them in your to-go-to-the-thrift-store bag). Set out a couple of coasters for your favorite beverage and add a comfy pillow.
Consider the things that often clutter your dining room table and look for ways to containerize the chaos. Only pull out projects when you’re working on them and use the containers so you can clear the dining table when you’re done. Leave the table free for snacking or an impromptu game.
Help your home feel lighter and easier to use. Then sit in your little oasis and enjoy the calm. Invite your sweetie to a snuggle on the couch or gather your family to play a game.
Clear clutter – make space for you. Magdalena Vandenberg
