Yesterday I mentioned putting items in your car that help with practical convenience. Today I’d like to take that a step further and suggest you add items that can lead to spontaneous mini-adventures.

I have a friend who keeps a quilt in her trunk so she can have impromptu picnics (if you like to sew, you could toss a couple of quillows in your car). Paul and I like to geocache. We have a box with items we need so any time we are out and about we can play. What do you need on hand to go for a hike? Hit a flea market or garage sale? Take a road trip?

What kind of activities do you and your husband enjoy? What items could you pack in your car that would make it possible to enjoy those activities at a moment’s notice?
