A Change in Plans

Goodness! We had more snow. I was hoping we were headed into Spring (or what is affectionately known as mud season around here). The bunny tractors were cleaned out and ready for warmer weather. Now they are buried under inches snow and the bunnies will have to stay awhile longer in the bunny barn. (FYI, I am a bunny grandma today, two of my bunnies have had their litters and my third is due any second.)

The snow caught us a bit off guard and so we will be staying home from church today. Several inches of snow and low temperatures means we’ll be staying inside. We’ll probably play a game or two and cook a fun meal (Paul makes a great skillet pizza).

It’s both a treat and a challenge to change plans like this. It’s nice to be able to do things together at home, but we will have to forego some things and change plans for others.

How do y’all handle an unexpected change of plans? Can you put on a smile, practically deal with the fallout, and make a bit of fun? What do y’all do with your husband and family when you’re a bit housebound?
