Practical Talk, Practical Solutions

Have you and your sweetie talked about how the coronavirus is affecting your life now? Possible future impact?

Certainly, the daily choices need to be discussed. (Who will stop at the store? How can you reduce exposure? How will you spend your time now that you are more socially distant? What does that look like?)

But what about things like who will take a particular social risk? Or even, do you take that risk? Are there any workarounds? What will you do practically if one or both of you gets sick? Who do you call for help? What do you need to do to get your financial ducks in a row? Do you have a will (I know, no one wants to talk about that one – you can make a simple one online for free here)?

Why not ask your sweetie to sit down with you and brainstorm various scenarios. How will you handle them?

Be prepared and on the same page. Times are tough enough, don’t head into trouble without a plan.

Let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning. Winston Churchill
