When I got married my focus was on Paul and my marriage. Everything was new and we were creating a life together. I looked forward to talking to him when he got home from work. I made meals I thought would appeal to him. I kept the house neat and welcoming, I prayed for him, and more.
Then life happened. Work, children, responsibilities. Attention wobbled and exhaustion set in. One day I woke up and realized I was serving leftovers to my husband and I needed to refocus and pursue my sweetie again.

Each season of life presents its challenges (and aren’t we in a challenging season right now?) and it’s understandable that your efforts will wax and wane, but you, your sweetie and your marriage are important. Pause and let that soak in for a minute.
Can you reorient a bit and make time to pursue your spouse today? Breathe life, energy, and connection into your marriage.
A great relationship doesn’t happen just because of the love you had in the beginning, but how well you continue building love until the end. Author Unknown
